**Veterinarian**
**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. As a Veterinarian at Bridgewater Veterinary Clinic, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, high touch, outpatient medical care to dogs and cats. This position offers the opportunity to work with clients through their pets' entire lives, building a bond that keeps generations of clients returning again and again.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough examinations on and consultations for dogs and cats
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in animals as well as preventative care education
- Perform routine surgical and/or dental procedures
- Formulate and direct outpatient treatment plans for your patients
- Provide guidance on nutrition, behavior, and general care for pets
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure comprehensive patient care and proper client communication
- Maintain timely and accurate medical records for all patients
- Stay current on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities as required for licensing.
**Requirements:**
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree
- Valid and current MA state veterinary license
- Strong knowledge of local common diseases and their management
- Proficiency in routine surgical and dental skills
- Computer language proficiency to efficiently complete electronic medical records and communications between teams
- Excellent and compassionate communication skills to connect on a deeper level with pet owners and team members
- Enthusiasm and ability to collaborate on challenging cases with your colleagues
- Ability to work with patients in a low-stress manner (We use lots of Churu, Calm and Cozy Cat Wraps, and Easy Cheese as well as pharmaceutical assistance!)
- Ability to work and communicate efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor
- Willingness to work within an individual client's abilities and limitations without judgement
