CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior Program Manager. The position provides an opportunity to lead the development, production, and support of critical programs and high assurance products that support some of our nation’s fundamental defense services. The successful candidate will have full responsibility for managing a one or more of these programs in the Secure Network, Voice and Computing (SNVC) Business Area of our Space, Cyber and Intelligence Systems Line of Business. This includes executing day-to-day operational activities and leading staff to support program goals and objectives. The candidate will direct program activities from program start-up through execution, and closeout to ensure attainment of cost, quality and schedule performance objectives.
Utilizing your strong team building skills, you’ll use proposal plans and strategies to lead a team in developing, defining, and implementing cohesive, integrated program/product, subcontractor, and material plans and business plans that achieve overall current and long-term objectives of the program/product, business unit, and division. We’ll rely on the Senior Program Manager to identify needed resources for projects, define and assign major program roles, lead the establishment of and sets integrated WBS-based budget and schedule baselines including management reserve for advanced development programs/products or major subcontracts where the scope is not well defined and there is significant possibility for change. You’ll monitor work accomplished to baseline plans to ensure rate of work completion is sufficient to meet program/product schedules, develops corrective actions, and communicate issues, impacts and corrective actions to program teams and balance programs, risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets. You'll prepare and present program status to leadership, external customers, and other stakeholders, and apply advanced negotiation skills to solve complex program issues.
