Overview: The Engineering Division Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the engineering division of the organization. This role involves overseeing all engineering projects, managing teams of engineers, and ensuring that engineering activities align with the company's objectives and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering division in alignment with the company's overall objectives.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects within budget and timeline constraints.
- Team Management: Lead and manage teams of engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to support engineering projects and initiatives, including personnel, budget, and equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that engineering designs, processes, and products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as senior management and other departments, to communicate project updates, risks, and recommendations.
- External Collaboration: Build and maintain relationships with external partners, vendors, and clients to facilitate collaboration on engineering projects and initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering operations.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects, including technical, financial, and operational risks.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing engineering activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in engineering leadership roles, with a track record of successfully managing engineering teams and projects.
- Strong technical expertise in relevant engineering disciplines, such as civil, water, and wastewater.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
