Our client, $100B+ private equity firm based in New York, NY, is seeking a Payroll Associate to join their growing Finance team. This person will be managing the payroll process for 600+ employees for a wide variety of entities. Candidates must have experience working in financial services, processing payroll for employees globally. Experience with Workday is required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, and third party payments)
- Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
- Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
- Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
- Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and Accounting teams
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
- Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3-8 years of experience in payroll processing in a financial services organization
- Knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
- Understanding of multi-state payroll and taxes (CA & NY local payroll tax regulations)
- Experience with International payroll
- Advanced Excel
- Experience with Workday

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
