Inventory Control Specialist
We are seeking an Inventory control specialist to become an integral part of our team. Our main goal is food safety and quality products.
Responsibilities:
- Required Competencies & Knowledge: Knowledge of procurement, products, and production processes.
- Ability to operate a forklift. Experience with forklifts is a must.
- Manage and report all daily production records.
- Work with warehouse and quality department for the proper handling of Hold and Rework products to ensure adequate and timely disposition.
- Maintain Inventory control. (Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages)
- Required to handle Shipping and Receiving duties.
- In charge of demand planning tasks. Will coordinate with customers on a daily/weekly basis to ensure proper material arrives on time to meet demands.
- In charge of completing documentation upon inventory arrival/departure.
- In charge of working with customers on ordering ingredients.
- Working directly with our quality department to ensure all necessary paperwork is obtained on raw materials.
- Create BOL's upon product departure.
- Administrate all product specifications assuring compliance with regulatory label requirements.
- Make thorough inspections of department and area, creating and maintaining written reports of findings and coordination corrective action as required.
- Monitor inspection of all incoming materials, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO or FEFO depending on customer requests).
- Work alongside management to continually improve food safety and quality assurance.
- Knowledge and experience with Inventory control systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Abilities:
- Skill in: Maintain harmonious relations with employees from all departments.
- Ability to: Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. (Bilingual a plus)
- Operate forklifts
- Familiar with state and federal food processing regulations. (SQF a plus)
- Proficient computer knowledge
- Must be accurate and detail oriented.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Ability to demonstrate an excellent eye for detail with Inventory Control experience
- Strong math skills with problem solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a variety of climates and conditions. Including minimal exposure too coolers and freezers for inventory checks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use hands and fingers.
- Reaching with hands and arms throughout shift.
- Operate forklifts.
- Unload/Load trucks
- Ability to see, hear and talk.
- Employee frequently required to sit.
- Occasionally required to walk.
- Warehouse/cold storage/shipping dock.
- Follow all PPE/GMP requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry. (Frozen Foods a plus).
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficient
- Adept with excel spreadsheets
- Experience in BOM and MRP systems

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
