Position Status- Part Time 20/24 hours a week

Job Summary-This position will be responsible for coordinating and delivering instruction of Massage Therapy while utilizing an established curriculum and maintaining supplies and equipment. Must work within the guidelines of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current Texas license to practice as a Massage Therapist
- Must be a Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor (MTI) or be willing to obtain license right away
- Experience teaching adult students
- Must have a genuine passion for massage and teaching
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Massage Therapist
- Knowledge of Massage Therapy Basic Curriculum Outline, Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics as defined by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR)
- Knowledge of MBLEx exam content
- Knowledge of basic computer applications, general office equipment, and equipment related to the massage practice
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated, independent worker, reliable
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively as a member of the instructional team
Preferred Qualifications
- NCBTMB Board Certification
- Experience teaching Massage Therapy
Essential Functions
- Instruct Massage Therapy students in theory and skill for preparation for the MBLEx exam and/or Texas licensing exam
- Establish and maintain a positive and effective relationship with students, staff, and community partners
- Utilize established curriculum to effectivly and professionally teach techniques and methods to assist students in attaining the performance objectives of the course
- Be able to provide a professional and supportive educational environment while maintianing professional and ethical boundaries
- Being comfortable in enforcing institute's policies
- Participate in inventory management of instructional supplies and equipment
- Prepare and maintain progress reports and daily attendance records according to the institute's policy
- Assist in maintaining program standards of professionalism
- Attend meetings as required by the Director
- Observe and maintain the administrative policies and mission
- Ability to communicate with students, staff, and team members
- Other duties as assigned
