Compensation for this role: $70,000 to $80,000 Depending on Experience.

Specific Responsibilities
Orientation/Onboarding
Serve as the Encore Ambassador to create a positive first impression of Encore Electric and greets New Hires in the reception area, when needed.
Responsible for overall orientation, including:
- Lead orientation each week, which outlines:
- Welcome to Encore/About Encore
- Pictures
- Timesheets
- Workplace expectations
- Adding employees to UKG Pro and ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Find replacements for presenters if they will be out one week
- Own the orientation paperwork and filing process from recruitment through payroll, in conjunction with the HR Coordinator
- Review new hire background reports, in conjunction with the HR Coordinator
- Update orientation material as necessary – challenge the status quo
- Challenge how orientation can be improved and lead the charge on facilitating change
- Serve as backup for other presenters
Ensure new employee’s paperwork is completed accurately, on time and reported each week:
Performance Management
Administer the performance review program for all positions, each month, and ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization, by, but not limited to:
- Administering the monthly evaluation process for all employees
- Sending reminders to complete evaluations and self-evaluations
- Sending self-reviews, each month, to apprentice electricians who are up for their annual review
- Communicating forms and deadlines to applicable employees each month
- Following up with reviewers with outstanding to ensure reviews are completed timely
Ensure that all apprentices have accurate titles by conducting occasional audits and processing title changes even if review not complete timely
Edit and modify performance management process as necessary
Ensure weekly payroll changes are inputted in UKG and communicated to Payroll
Collaborate with business leadership on specific payroll changes as needed
Encourage constant improvement to processes
Employee Relations
Participate in investigations with HR Manager
Conduct counseling statements as requested and needed
Point of contact for Encore employee issues
Processes
Document and update all processes within the responsibility of the position using the template and storing the processes on OneNote
Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
HRIS Administration
Ensure Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is up to date each week, in conjunction with HR Coordinator, by:
- Entering apprentice evaluation data into system including rating and comments, as needed
- Alerts HR Manager of problems with system and patterns developing with employees
- Maintain integrity of data, highlight if employees need to be added or removed
Provide approved reviewers access to HRIS as requested and needed
Separations
Process all separations in UKG
Administer exit surveys, and provide feedback to the HR Manager and applicable employee manager when necessary
Send separation letters to all employees following their departures
Serve as backup to HR Manager on discharged separations
Recordkeeping
Establish and maintain records and reports including UKG onboarding module, spectrum folders, etc.
File weekly employee paperwork generated by the business, in conjunction with the HR Coordinator
Conduct annual I-9 Audit
Update job descriptions to ensure they are in the correct format, are classified as the correct FLSA status, and have the EEO tagline stated
Ensure a job description is on file for every active job title by conducting annual job description initiatives
Recruiting
Assist Talent Acquisition (TA) team upon request with local recruitment practices including, but not limited to:
- Greeting candidates and assisting in setting up local northern interviews
- Performing preliminary interviews upon request
- Attending local northern recruitment events
- Connecting candidates with TA information such as information on how to apply and sending that information to the appropriate recruiter
General
Congratulate new Journeyman in the organization and process payroll change form
Relationship management – pick up the phone and meet in person to build relationships across the organization
Research solutions through reputable sources, such as SHRM
Serve as a change leader in day-to-day processes, implementing new applications and modules, etc.
Work closely with HR Manager and other HR Generalists on HR initiatives and projects
Has high integrity and ensures consistency across the organization
Assist in Affirmative Action
Knowledgeable of Employment Law compliance and assists in implementing initiatives
Attend trainings and seminars, throughout the year, relevant to tasks and assignments
Maintain up-to-date employee handbook, called Navigating Encore Electric
Other duties as may be assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires at least two years experience in Human Resources as well as a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related degree. HR certification preferred.
