Job Summary:
The Claiborne at Newnan Lakes is seeking full and part-time Certified Medication Aide's (CMA) to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. As a CMA, you will be responsible for administering medication to our residents following all state and federal regulations. This is an individual contributor role where you will have direct impact on the well-being of our residents.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $15.5 to $17 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition, we offer full-time employee's a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within our growing company.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medication to residents as prescribed by physicians
- Follow all state and federal regulations for medication administration
- Document and record medication administration accurately and timely
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions to medications and report to the RN in charge
- Maintain a safe and clean medication cart and ensure all medications are stored properly
- Assist with resident care tasks as needed, such as assisting with activities of daily living and providing transportation
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure quality care is provided
- Attend required trainings and maintain current CMA certification
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in the state of Georgia
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CMA in a long-term care or assisted living setting
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to medication administration
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
