Front Desk Coordinator
Central Maryland Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking an energetic, patient-centric and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to greet patients, schedule appointments, answer phones and manage administrative records. The Front Desk Coordinator must build and maintain professional relationships with our key stakeholders – specifically our patients, office staff and oral surgeon, while simultaneously ensuring that the office is organized and runs smoothly.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience working in a fast-paced, high-demand environment at an office with annual revenues that exceed a minimum of $1.5 million.
This is a full-time position and the ordinary hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; however, some flexibility is required.
Compensation offered will be commensurate with skills & experience. Benefits (401k/Health Insurance/PTO/Bonus Opportunity) will be offered.

- At least two years of dental office experience – Oral Surgery experience is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities (include; but, are not limited to):
- Greet patients; seamlessly handle the check-in process in a timely manner
- Proactively develop and maintain surgeon’s schedule with ample lead time, in adherence to his process and preferences
- Communicate consistently with the surgeon and office staff to ensure alignment on all elements of the scheduling process
- Answer all incoming calls; schedule and confirm appointments
- Educate patients regarding dental procedures and treatments that are offered at the office
- Liaise with referring doctors and vendors
- Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality according to established compliance standards
- Complete daily tasks in accordance with the operating checklist
- Positively represent the practice at all times through a success-oriented and professional demeanor
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Exceptional organizational and time-managements skills – the ability to multi-task is a must
- Adaptability and flexibility while working in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental/medical insurance
- Knowledge of dental terminology & procedures, and the ability to intelligently and confidently converse with patients and referring doctors regarding treatment
- Problem-solving ability and aptitude
- Outcome-focused, with an ability to work under pressure
- A solution-oriented mindset and a willingness to ‘get your hands dirty’
- A strong sense of urgency and focus in accomplishing tasks
- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel – experience with Carestream WinOMS is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
