A fast-growing East Valley Law Firm is searching for a Managing Attorney for our Estate Planning Division. The Managing Attorney of the Estate Planning Division is responsible for the creation and execution of all estate planning documents and overseeing the daily operations of the Estate Planning Division within the Firm. They work to ensure the client receives a professional, first-class experience during the entire process.
They are also responsible for driving business growth and revenue while enhancing operational efficiency within the division. They lead and supervise the support staff and work to ensure efficient workflow within the Firm while maintaining and promoting positive relationships with clients and associates.
The Job
Conduct thorough assessments of client needs to provide personalized estate planning solutions.
- Review and finalize client documents with a focus on precision, accuracy, compliance, and legal integrity.
- Foster positive client experiences to build lasting relationships.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes to ensure compliance and protect the firm's reputation.
- Record notes and track time on cases using the firm's matter management system.
- Promote and embody the firm’s culture and core values.
- Supervise and manage the daily workflow of direct reports.
- Lead weekly meetings for the division.
- Regularly review all open matters in the division for budget, status, and progress.
- Manage performance by providing ongoing support, counseling, and feedback regarding performance and behavioral issues.
- Facilitate training and development for both new and current team members.
- Address and resolve issues related to technology, personnel, or clients within the division.
- Drive referral marketing through current and past clients and seek new external sources.
- Enhance the firm's community presence by organizing and speaking at events such as webinars, media engagements, and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure client satisfaction by evaluating service quality and productivity, and recommending improvements.
- Develop and implement efficient processes to streamline client case management within the firm's case management system.
The Essentials
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in estate planning, probate, ALTCS/Medicaid Planning, Guardianships and Conservatorships.
- Experience in drafting estate planning documents and preparing probate filings.
- Believe in serving the client and contributing to an excellent client relationship.
- Able to provide empathy and be a good listener and problem-solver.
- Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are a must.
- Candidate must have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter.
- Works well with intake and paralegals.
- Reliability and dependability is a must.
Salary
Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. We offer a base salary plus a generous additional compensation program based on division revenue. We offer a benefits package including 401K (with matching), health insurance, dental insurance, paid time off and referral bonus opportunities. We also pay for approved continuing legal education. Hybrid work environment with some mandatory in-office days.
