Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with patients with Developmental Disabilities and possess a passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Duties Include:
- Answer and refer telephone calls or other inquiries to ensure accurate and timely communications are facilitated.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, persons supported, families, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Contribute to and maintain a healthy and productive work environment.
- Administer medications according to policy and procedure.
- Observe and document a person’s responses to medications/treatments.
- Demonstrate the ability and appropriate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures in accordance with the physician's orders, policy, and procedure.
- Demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge to provide care for people according to policy, procedure, regulations, and site-specific competencies.
- Demonstrate ability to handle emergencies in a prompt, precise, and professional manner.
- Provide personal care to ensure comfort and well-being while acknowledging physiological and psychological needs.
- Perform indirect care, using established procedures, policies, and standards as evidenced by feedback and observation.
- Demonstrate accurate and timely documentation (written and electronic) according to guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment for people and staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice
- Current AHA Healthcare Provider Training (BCLS).
- At least 1 year of experience
