Programmer
The CNC Programmer uses CAM to create and maintain multi-axis programs to facilitate manufacture of multi-surfaced milled CNC parts. The programmer will be responsible for helping determine how to fixture the parts in the CNC machine; selecting the proper cutting tools and tool arrangement; and cutting speeds and feeds applicable to CNC machining.
- Must be able to read & interpret blueprints. Much of our product is of older design and solid models aren’t always readily available. Jobs will have a traveler, but no operation sheets.
- Strong math skills especially in geometry and trigonometry.
- We use both MasterCAM and Smart CAM
- Knowledge of Solidworks and/or Pro/Engineer a plus
- Independently develop manufacturing process to manufacture tooling, fixtures, gauges or parts.
- Maintain and potentially build/modify postprocessor for the equipment on the shop floor
- Able to set up and operate milling centers for manufacture of product. Ensure quality of all machined parts are correct. Using common machining measuring tools.
- Capable of recognizing and correcting malfunctions of machine tools or set-ups.
- Communicate effectively with machinists and foremen to support requirements in their roles.
- Supervises and maintains the master CNC program directory; ensures CNC program validity.
- Ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience.
- Current machines are 3 and 4 axis. Experience with 5 axis and more is a plus.
CNC Milling Machinist
- At least 5 years’ experience in an aerospace job shop with low quantity parts, not production environment.
- Experience on 3 & 4 axis milling machines and on multiple different controls.
- Must be able to perform own set-ups, Understand & use work travelers, blueprints, programs, specs, locations of surfaces, machining parameters & tolerances (GD&T)
- Able to use common machining measuring tools

CNC Manual & Lathe Turning Machinist
- 5+ years’ experience
- Candidate must be able to perform multiple set-ups daily for small runs.
- Also must be able to read, interpret and work from blue prints, NOT OP sheets
- Experience in an aerospace job shop with low quantity parts, not a production environment
- Experience on Mazak, Prototrak and manual turning equipment a plus.
- Training on Mazatrol Programming will be given.

Normal work week is 44 hours. ( M-Th 7am-4:30pm & F 7am-3:30pm, ½ hour lunch)
Must be willing to work additional OT when necessary.
