Job Description: TEA is hiring a part-time lower school educator who can support the core teachers in delivering instruction and programming. The teaching assistant would act as an aide in and out of the classroom in areas of supervision, co-teaching and facilitating, and being available as needed to help with the daily tasks of instruction.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with core teachers in implementing daily instruction and supervision to meet student needs.
- Support students in and out of the classroom by serving as an additional avenue of support.
- Manage and achieve expectations to ensure that learning is successful.
- Provide specific additional instruction and organization as needed to ensure student success that meets the learner outcomes established by the School.
Additional:
- Support core teachers in student’s educational opportunities that need additional staff support such as field work and expeditions.
- Collaborate with and support the core teachers in representing the school to families and school community.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
- Show an optimistic attitude toward parent engagement and interaction.
- Ability to establish partnerships with students, colleagues, parents, as well as facilitate teamwork within the school community to support student learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in a commensurate field of study.
- Prior education experience preferred but not necessary.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Willingness and ability to work in a demanding environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
- Be able to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
- Work primarily in outside weather conditions consistent with Lake Tahoe area weather.
