FULL TIME Tank Wash Technician positions available now at our Summit, IL location!
Job Description:
Properly clean all trailers, tractors and peripheral equipment to meet company and customer standards for quality control.
Tank Wash Technician Functions include:
- Clean trailer interiors, exteriors, valves, fittings, hoses and hose tubes.
- Clean exterior of tractors and other power units as requested by the customer and required by company policy.
- Wear appropriate PPE for the jobs assigned.
- Properly complete and submit all cleaning orders by ensuring that each order is completed correctly and signed by the person performing the clean.
- Comply with all company programs, procedures, and policies, including safety policies and directives, tank entry programs and policies, respiratory protection programs and policies, and cleaning requirements and standards of service.
- Perform any additional cleaning or maintenance duties as instructed by the Cleaning Manager/Facility Manager.

Tank Wash Technician Minimum Qualifications:
- Will train the right candidates as needed!!
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of OSHA programs and Hazardous Waste Management including Contingency Plan implementation.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Must be able to meet medical qualifications for respirator fitness and usage.
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English language to the extent necessary to familiarize self with company policy as well as state and federal rules and regulations, to comprehend technical manuals, and to properly complete all repair and maintenance reports. Must be able to comprehend Safety Data Sheet (SDS) (in English or Spanish).
- Must be able to work efficiently and safely both under supervision and independently.
- Must be able to safely operate a tractor/trailer unit within the terminal premises.
- Must be able to grasp, lift and properly use all power and hand tools.
- Must be able to walk, bend, reach, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl under or climb up on a tank trailer.
- Must be able to push, pull, grasp, and lift which may exceed 50 pounds in weight.
