YOUR ROLE
Accountable for planning, prioritizing and managing all freight distribution operations and warehouse usage; establishing business controls focused on quality management processes, and cost control methodologies; Compliance with ISO guidelines, LEAN Principles and applicable regulatory requirements. Responsible for the development and administration of the employee environmental, health and safety program in the facility to ensure that the dock and material handling equipment comply with applicable state OSHA laws and federal standards and regulations and provide a safe and healthy environment for employees and the public. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Ensure that freight is being moved in a safe and timely manager utilizing appropriate equipment and tools.

Ensure that we maintain a clean, professional and safe working environment by inspecting and scheduling all warehouse equipment.
- Ensure that we are effectively leveraging and deploy support resources to pursue continuous improvement opportunities.

Support new business growth and development within the facility.

Review pending jobs or trends, plan for reorganization of warehouse space, and needed changes in levels of supplies, equipment or staffing.

Inspect and review staff scheduling for peaks and valleys of workload to assure maximum productivity with minimal or no overtime usage.

Ensure that the safety programs for all departments throughout the facility including employee forklift certifications, employee safety orientations and employee Hazmat/Dangerous Goods certifications.

Assess the applicability of state OSHA requirements and other occupational health and safety rules and regulations.

Conduct safety inspections to ensure conformance with safety and environmental health regulations.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply chain Management preferred.
- Minimum five years related experience.
- Minimum three years supervisory or managerial experience.
Skills:

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
