The position is in our warehouse department and is responsible for locating products for shipments, loading and unloading trailers, moving finished good and material pallets to and from production work centers and storage. Proper documentation and FIFO policies must be followed.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Loads and unloads raw materials, packaging supplies and finished goods using hand jack, forklift, and other equipment.

Elevator operator: Supply various work centers with materials necessary to meet production requirements by using a freight elevator report showing the day’s needs (quantity by floor & work center location).

Dock operator: Perform necessary written reporting functions and verify accuracy on incoming & out going forms including amount, lot#, code date, product number, count of incoming and outgoing materials, trailer number, seal number, PO, and carrier.

Assess cleanliness, holes, smells, insects, etc. of empty & incoming trailers prior to loading and unloading of shipments. Fills out appropriate paperwork / checklist.

Responsible for weighing and/or counting for incoming and outgoing materials and compare to the paperwork; quantities on lots per bin/floor, and may assist or complete cycle counts requiring weighing of partial bags/etc.

Operate an overhead hoist to lift load fork truck battery. Battery on hoist requires up to 75 pounds of force.

Responsible for cleanliness of the Warehouse, staging, dock areas and proper storage of all materials.

Completes necessary paperwork and/or data entry for production and/or inventory records.

Completes other duties as assigned.

Adheres to all Plant Safety, Food Safety, GMP, including sanitary requirements and Standardized Work procedures.
Requirements:
-
High School diploma or equivalent diploma (GED, HSED).
-
1+ years of warehouse experience.
-
1+ years prior experience in, and ability to safely operate equipment (including forklifts, walk-riders, shrink-wrap machines and pallet jacks)

Proficient interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to interact with all levels of staff

Detail oriented nature and precision is critical to ensure products adhere to designated quality and standards.

Able to handle multiple tasks with capability of prioritizing and planning work activities

Able to maintain a clean work environment.

Frequently required to talk and/or hear, and/or use fingers and hands to handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.

Regularly required to stand, walk, and/or sit and may occasionally be required to reach above shoulders, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Will need to lift or move 50 pounds and open and close trailer doors with up to 120 pounds of force from a height of 84 inches as well as open dock doors weighing roughly 70 pounds.
