AVX is looking for a full-time Customer Relations/Sales Assistant to support the company’s wholesale operations. The Customer Relations/Sales Assistant’s role is specifically responsible for receiving payments, answering phone calls and providing professional assistance to both customers and coworkers. The position requires a supportive approach when managing a variety of daily responsibilities and tasks. Secondarily, the role includes maintaining and updating the showroom and displays, ensuring they are well-stocked, and supporting various areas of the business but not limited to the showroom, counter sales, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to pass criminal and driving background check and a pre-employment drug test.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Basic computer knowledge to include typing proficiency.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Excellent people skills.
- Experience working in a retail or similar environment.
- Good English verbal and written skills to be able to read purchase orders and communicate with team members.
- Heavy lifting required.
- Physically able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and bend.
- Valid driver’s license.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Answer all phone calls and follow through until resolution.
- Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
- Displayed product stocked and neatly merchandised.
- Displays cleaned and organized.
- Inventory displayed in a coherent and logical manner.
- Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
- Proactive in learning about all products.
- Processing payments, verifying the accuracy of all prices and quantities, and providing receipts to each customer.
- Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.

Compensation: $11 - $16 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday
