The Installation Helper works for and with the jobsite Installation Foreman as a two-person team installing fences and gates in a safe and efficient manner providing our customers with Allenfarm “You Deserve the Best” quality and service.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Listen to and take instruction from the Foreman.
- Learn when and how to competently perform the routine tasks so that you don’t need to be told each time.
- Assist the Foreman with loading the truck and safely traveling to the jobsite.
- Unload truck, prepare needed air-hose, tools and equipment.
- Work with the Foreman to install fence posts using rhino post pounder, rock bar, post hole diggers, rock drill, jackhammer and other tools and equipment as needed.
- Install fence hardware, panels or chain-link framework and fabric.
- Keep jobsite neat and orderly and clean-up at the end of the day. Unload and clean the truck after returning to the shop.
- Work in the Shop and Warehouse as may be requested from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Ability to accurately read a tape measure, and experience safely working with and around hand tools, power tools and equipment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Work environment is primarily outdoors, working in all the weather conditions Maine has to offer. Ability to ride to and from jobsites, sometimes for long distances. Ability to frequently lift 80 lbs throughout the day. Most of the day is spent standing, walking, climbing, lifting and carrying. Ability to work on and walk through rough, uneven terrain.
