Athletic Trainer, AT/AEMT/Paramedic – ProgressiveHealth Occ Health Services, LLC – Atlanta, GA

We are looking for an energetic and results driven Industrial Athletic Trainer with AEMT/Paramedic experience or background to provide injury prevention services onsite for a major airline carrier at the Atlanta Hartsfield – Jackson International Airport. We strive to increase the industrial athlete’s ability to perform their job duties safely and decrease the risk of injury through intervention at the early onset of discomfort in a dynamic work environment. What will you be doing in this role?
- Providing proactive injury prevention, injury care, assessment, and medical triage as defined by OSHA standards, including ergonomic postural education and/or escalation of medical care if needed
- Coordinating and implementing rehabilitation treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary
- Providing ergonomic assessments and support by understanding the site operations, job processes, and physical demands in order to make ergonomic recommendations for the purposes of preventing more serious musculoskeletal conditions from occurring
- Patient assessment and treatment which includes medical triage, wound care, and medical checks (i.e. blood pressure, diabetic glucose checks)
- Performing vision, hearing, and respiratory testing
- Collecting and analyzing urine samples
- Provide non-occupational and intramuscular injections as needed
- Emergency response when needed for acute medical or life-threatening events
- Providing medical advice, education, and resources
- Keeping accurate, detailed documentation with efficiency while being able to provide feedback to the industrial athlete and client for continuous health improvements
- Understanding and providing reports with key metrics to leadership, client partners, and operations management

Our ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, or another related field and NATABOC certification
- The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure
- CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
- ACLS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)
- Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations, preferred
- The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift
- Previous ergonomic and/or occupational health experience is a plus
- A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision
- Be able to maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
