API Kirk Containers is a competitive manufacturer of HDPE and Polypropylene injection and blow molded containers who is has started a second manufacturing facility located in Willard, UT.
We are seeking a Personally Accountable, Skilled and Experienced Manufacturing Technician to be a contributing member of a top performing and efficient production manufacturing team. This is a unique opportunity to be a key member of the team for the greenfield expansion of our second manufacturing location. You will work directly with the Maintenance Manager to assist in organizing and designing the maintenance shop, and be responsible for continuously monitoring and keeping all site equipment in top performance through a preventative maintenance program using OEM suggested maintenance intervals, actual wear intervals, and regular inspection of equipment.
Starting Salary: $26.00 to $35.00 per hr depending on skill and experience.
This is a hands on position and will require working side by side with the Maintenance Manager and Production Supervisor to ensure maintenance tasks are completed in a proper and timely manner.
Training will be on day shift for 4 weeks then move to night shift.
Requirements:
- Must have experience working on and around large industrial production equipment
- Must have knowledge of the inner workings of a hydraulic valves and systems
- Must have knowledge of industrial electrical components and be able to read electrical schematics to troubleshoot electro-mechanical errors
- Must have knowledge of pneumatic valves, connections, and systems
- Must be able to read and understand machine manuals and schematics
- Must be highly mechanically inclined and have experience with seeing signs of wear and failure before they become critical failures
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe work space

- Work directly with the team to find and repair major and minor issues with equipment and building
- Provide support in completing maintenance and repair work orders, in a proper and timely manner
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- High degree of communication and problem solving
- Ability to operate with a high degree of accountability for self and team
- Experience with all maintenance subjects (Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical)
- Experience in robotics operations is nice to have
- Experience in Injection Molding and/or Plastics is preferred
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
