Write Go, Python, Java, and Shell scripts to automate and integrate with other projects and automate existing manual flows. Work with various CI and continuous delivery (CD) tools and assist with offerings like Jenkins, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat OpenShift that enable container management and orchestration.
Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Raleigh, NC.
What You Will Do:

Fix bugs or add new features, add the support for the Billing and Observability, and add verification to the git commit message for use by all the developers in the team.

Meet with the Red Hat Trusted Application Pipeline Product leads or with Subject Matter Experts from the team to understand the requirements and deadline for a task.

Meet with the relevant stakeholders, such as the team lead, delivery owner and engineers from the Product teams, to understand the design of the software solution.

Write Kubernetes Controllers to monitor the resources and track the user events. Write functional and system tests depending on the complexity of the system.

Check and adjust system performance using tools including Graphana, Prometheus or Thanos to monitor the resources and alert the teams.

Assist Red Hat Trusted Application Pipeline SREs with a default set of alerting rules to detect common service or cluster degradation events.
What You Will Bring:

Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign Equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role.

Must have five (5) years of experience writing code in either Go, Java or Python;

Must have three (3) years of experience with Agile including Scrums and Backlog grooming;

Must have two (2) years of experience with Linux operating system at least as a power user;

Must have one (1) year of experience with containerizing applications or workflows;
-
Must have one (1) year of experience with Git as a user or a repository maintainer.

The salary range for this position is $151,986 - $183,580. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
