Who You Are: We are seeking candidates who are hospitality oriented and take great pride in serving others in a caring and professional manner. Must be a currently licensed RN or BSN in the state of Texas, have excellent hospitality skills, excellent attention to detail, and enjoy working with seniors and associates.
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing day to day nursing operations for our 85-bed Arbour Health Center. Responsible for providing nursing related services, within scope of license, to assure resident safety and maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
This is a full-time Salaried Exempt position and is a member of our Senior Leadership Team. This position includes eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures quality resident care is consistently delivered in accordance with all local, state and federal guidelines.
- Promotes and maintains continuity of care among nursing associates, residents, families and all disciplines.
- Writes policies and procedures and ensures they are followed by all nursing associates; includes coaching and counseling associates as appropriate.
- Ensures associates are appreciated and valued; includes overseeing annual evaluations and other associate programs.
- Partners with the Administrator on recruiting, hiring, new hire orientation, training and in-services for Certified Nurse Aides, Medication Assistants, LVN's, RN's and nurse managers.
- Supervision, auditing, and maintenance of all clinical systems.
- Collaborates and partners with physicians, pharmacy and other medical professionals to promote quality care and independence for our residents.
- Conducts comprehensive resident pre-admission, admission and quarterly assessments.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical and supervisory experience in long term care setting.
- Must be a strong leader and have a willingness to cooperate with other departments and to maintain good working relationships.
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
