As the Graphic Design Assistant, will manage and produce a variety of graphic design projects that support the promotion of The Arc’s programs, services, and initiatives, and will play a critical role in maintaining the visual identity of The Arc’s brand. The Graphic Design Assistant will create dynamic communication and marketing pieces that communicate the desired message with high visual impact. The Graphic Design Assistant will work with the Visual Communications Manager and stakeholders throughout The Arc’s enterprise on assigned projects.
The responsibilities of the Graphic Design Assistant will include creating visual media such as marketing collateral, advertising, and other brand promotion as well as layouts, icons, website designs, logos, and illustrations. Creating multimedia and video concepts that portray organizational initiatives and services will require someone comfortable leading all aspects of concept creation, storyboarding, and scriptwriting as well as managing all aspects of post-production including editing, color corrections, audio mixing and mastering, and optimizing the product for various broadcast, digital, social, and web platforms.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED along with three years of experience in graphic design and creating multimedia content, though a bachelor’s degree in communications, video production, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
