Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional theater actors and stage managers in the United States, is hiring a full-time Audition Monitor in its New York office. Actors’ Equity is a national union affiliated with the AFL-CIO, with 51,000 members – and growing. We are seeking a reliable and personable Audition Monitor to ensure smooth and high-quality audition experiences. This full-time position typically involves work hours from 9:30am to 5:30pm, though flexibility is required as hours may vary based on audition schedules.
Responsibilities

Work with actors, casting personnel, and others to facilitate the smooth running of Equity auditions

Ensure that all rules governing audition procedures are followed

Effectively organize and maintain audition materials

Represent Equity at auditions, calmly and courteously enforcing rules as necessary

Must be reliable and show up on time as scheduled

Data entry utilizing Microsoft CRM

Provide backup for Auditions office staff as needed
Knowledge and Skills

Experience doing data entry, with strict attention to detail

Excellent customer services and verbal communication skills required

Ability to learn and retain complex rules governing auditions

Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

Ability to problem-solve and stay focused in a fast-paced environment

Must be comfortable speaking publicly

Ability to remain composed and respond appropriately to varied personalities

Experience with Microsoft CRM a plus

Work Environment:
Work in an office environment sitting at a desk, table, or computer workstation, standing for extended periods of time.
Compensation:

Hourly rate: $21/hourly, 35-hour work week
