SUMMARY
The Senior Data Analyst will support senior management of the portfolio along with the Corporate Development leadership. Primary responsibilities of the role includes, but is not limited to, dashboard development and maintenance, and report generation. The analyst will be a self starter with strong data competencies. They will become a master of all data used at ADS and be able to find key insights that help stakeholders make decisions that drive efficiency, sales, and innovation. The Analyst will work closely with senior management across all portfolio companies, interfacing daily with CFO, COO, and various division heads.

- SQL Responsibilities: query data, create views, create and maintain tables
- Dashboard Development: design, develop, deploy, and maintain dashboards in Qlik Cloud
- Reporting and analysis across multiple portfolio companies on finances, operations, sales, etc
- Direct, consolidate, and administer annual budget preparation and in-year forecasting for portfolio companies
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financials, including KPI’s, compared to forecast, budget, and prior year
- Perform complex ad-hoc analyses to assist in execution of existing and formulation of new business strategies in concert with portfolio level and corporate management teams
- Develop new approaches, processes, or methods to solve business problems, act as an agent of change; continuous reevaluation of process to achieve operational and financial goals always utilizing data
- Ability to integrate and normalize data from multiple sources
- Assist sales organizations in analyzing commodity markets to support large contract bids (RFP/Q’s)
- Drive various technology roll outs across companies and departments
- Ongoing, general portfolio management
COMPETENCIES
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with Tableau/Qlik Cloud/Power BI
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), with an emphasis on excel
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skill
- Able to communicate effectively with C-suite executives and across multiple companies and divisions
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and as a team member
- Experience with R or Python a plus

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- SQL experience
- Qlik Cloud/Tableau/Power BI Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS or equivalent) required, preferred in a numbers based field (statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, economics, other)
- 5+ years in an analytical role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on excel
- Experience in agricultural or retail industries a plus
