Bohan Contracting is a custom home remodeling company in Annapolis, MD. Bohan Contracting is growing by consistently winning new business and needs to expand its project support team by hiring a Purchasing Coordinator.
The Purchasing Coordinator is critical in setting up home remodeling projects for success. This person will report to the Purchasing Manager and work closely with the project management and coordination teams to ensure the proper materials are ordered for all remodeling projects.
The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and works solely at the corporate office in Annapolis, MD. Living within a reasonable driving distance of Annapolis is required.

Position Responsibilities
- Examine projects and compare them with contract details and related notes for accuracy
- Create, edit, and log purchase orders for project materials
- Order materials for each project as scoped by the Project Coordinator, utilizing best practices
- Process additional material orders needed for project completion
- Resolve pricing discrepancies with vendors
- Log credit card purchases
- Ensure material deliveries are scheduled to arrive before the installation date
- Maintain proper purchasing records
- Prepare and send client sign-offs for all selected items to include the impact on the budget
- Enter and audit client budget tracker
- Negotiate discounts, rebates, and terms with our vendors
Position Requirements
- High school diploma
- At least two years of purchasing experience
- Capability of delivering a high level of customer service
- Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, particularly spreadsheets
- Exposure to the home remodeling or construction industry is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Compensation
- Base salary of $50,000+. We determine offers based on experience, knowledge, and capabilities.
- Annual bonus plan based on company profitability
