Job Description: Project Manager – Public Works/Underground/Building
The Project Manager at Holloway Construction, Inc. estimates and delivers successful projects, which include and are not limited to site work and underground projects, new buildings, and renovations to the owner on time, within budget, with a high degree of quality and professionalism, and enforce all company policies and rules at the job site.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on private-commercial, federal , school, or public works projects. The candidate's project management experience MUST be from construction projects that include commercial and school projects. The candidate MUST have experience with civil construction.
Responsibilities:
Ø Responsible for all budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and risk facets.
Ø Must thoroughly know public and private project plans and specifications related to construction.
Ø Attain a quality of work consistent with the contract documents and Company policy.
Ø Monitoring coordination of subcontractors to fulfill the requirements of the construction schedule.
Ø Preparation of project schedules.
Ø Monitor the project schedule versus the actual work performed. Formulate and implement corrective action.
Ø Responsible for processing all change orders, internal contracts, and subcontract adjustments.
Ø Maintain an awareness of subcontractors' and suppliers' ability to perform.
Ø Authorized to commit the Company for variable and fixed costs as provided in the project budget.
Ø Responsible for monitoring all materials' receipt, handling, and placement to fulfill the construction contract requirements.
Ø Responsible for notifying the senior management of all significant problems encountered at the construction site relative to cost, subcontractor performance, owner issues, and schedule.
Ø Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions.
Ø Assures weekly safety meetings are conducted.
Ø Assures various insurance forms are completed when necessary.
Ø Responsible for timely submittal of reports as required and/or requested from the division office.
Ø Responsible for monitoring cost versus budget and taking corrective action to ensure costs do not exceed budget without cause.
Ø Maintain OSHA-required status as on-site "Competent Person" and maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications.
Ø Point of contact for the Company with all owners, architects, and related relationships.
Qualifications:
Ø Comprehensive knowledge of all construction types allows the management of complex projects on which many activities coincide. Will become involved in the estimate before the bid.
Ø Be able to comprehend and interpret the prime contract documents executed between the owner and the Company and thoroughly understand subcontract agreements and how they are to be enforced.
Ø Know and understand all current laws and contract documents that pertain to specific construction projects.
Ø 5 years minimum experience in Public Works and Civil construction.
Ø Degree in a Construction Related Field (Preferred).
