Overview: Shelby Electrical, a reputable and well-established licensed electrical contractor in Brooklyn, is seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Project Manager. Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Oversight:
- Plan, oversee, and direct electrical projects for construction.
- Disseminate relevant information to various departments related to the project.
- Monitor project progress and maintain project schedule.
- Develop project budget and track project costs according to contractual obligations.
- Review and study project documents, including estimates, design drawings, specifications, customer proposals, and contracts.
- Team Management:
- Delegate responsibilities to electrical professionals.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Support and Documentation:
- Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of electrical projects.
- Maintain project records, contracts, and documentation.
- Scheduling and Budgeting:
- Assist in project scheduling, ensuring timelines are met.
- Support budget management and cost control efforts.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Quality Control and Problem Solving:
- Help maintain high-quality work standards and safety protocols.
- Identify and address project-related issues in a timely manner.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in electrical project management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and industry standards.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Familiarity with electrical design, codes, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (Procore, Field-wire, Autodesk Build, etc.).
- Experience in Computer Aided Drawing (AutoCAD, Revit).
- Professional certifications (PMP, Certified Electrical Project Manager) are a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
