Position: Insurance Verification Specialist

The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, ensuring the accuracy of patient insurance information, and assisting with the pre-authorization process for medical services. This role involves frequent communication with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to confirm coverage details and resolve any discrepancies.
Job Responsibilities:

Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits through online portals, phone calls, and other resources.

Accurately enter and update insurance information in the patient management system.

Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary authorizations and approvals for medical procedures.

Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to insurance coverage.

Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide information on coverage and benefits.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all verification activities.

Collaborate with billing and coding departments to ensure correct processing of claims.
