Qualifications:
- At least 6+ years IT or related experience.
- Experience working in a K-12 education environment is preferred.
- Strong technical skills in networking, hardware, software, and/or operating systems
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and Google Workspace, Gmail and Active Directory.
- Ability to work well with teachers, students, and other support staff and communicate technical information effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and faculty
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Regular attendance on site to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position to achieve program goals.
- Ability to lift and move technology equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
- Required use of personal vehicle.
Student Information Systems Support
Team-Specific Responsibilities and Skills:
- Demonstrated Proficiency in providing support for Student Information Systems (SIS)
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all things SIS.
- Experience creating and maintaining processes to facilitate the collection of data in a K-12 education environment, which include the set-up, support, business practices and beginning/year-end processes of a SIS
- Proficiency in the use of computers and software applications including, but not limited to, Synergy SIS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and or the Google Workspace equivalent applications, data warehousing and reporting tools.
- Work directly with the Washington School Information Processing Cooperative (WSIPC) and Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) for collection, verification and validation of critical data as related to school funding based on student data extracted from the SIS.
- Analyze and correct data and generate reports in order to meet state and federal reporting requirements using data from the current SIS.
- Acts as Tier IL support for SIS by analyzing and troubleshooting software problems and/or determining the best options for assisting customers with the application; consult on application features and functions.
- Provides training and develops resources for all departments and school sites in the use of SIS modules applicable to their work.
- Manage security and user access to the SIS.
- Proficiency in all aspects of Comprehensive Education Data and Research System (CEDARS)reporting functions. Assist in the review and deployment of new or updated SIS modules. Assist in developing and documenting the operating procedures and practices related to SIS use.

- Provide technical guidance and support to the IT team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and standards.
- Managing backups and disaster recovery processes for all systems.
- Setting up and maintaining user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for IT policies, procedures, and user guides.
- Managing vendor relationships and purchasing hardware, software, and other IT equipment.
- Conducting regular security assessments, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Provide technical support to teachers, students, and staff for all hardware and software used in K-12 education, including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, projectors, interactive whiteboards, Student Information Systems and other classroom technology.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for both network and standalone systems, including servers, switches, routers, and other network devices.
- Maintain accurate records of all technology assets, including equipment inventory, software licenses, and maintenance agreements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose network, software, and hardware issues, and work with vendors and other support staff to resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Provide training to teachers, students, and staff on the use of technology, including software applications and online tools.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data and ensure compliance with district policies and regulations.
- Experience maintaining confidential student information and knowledge and understanding of state and federal laws mandating such.
- Ability to advance and adapt with technological, policy and practice changes.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of education professionals with varying levels of technical ability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, to multi-task, answer multiple phone lines, work with a ticketing system and work effectively with frequent interruptions.
- Stay current on emerging technology trends and make recommendations for future upgrades and improvements to the district's technology.
- After-hours support may be required (weekends and evenings) as needed.
