A vacancy exists for an
Administrative Assistant position to work within the
Office of Student Services at the
Montgomery County Intermediate Unit! The Administrative Assistant provides a high-level of customer service and support to school age emotional support school-based program while also supporting the program administrator.
Qualifications:
- No post-secondary degree required
- Holds any appropriate certificates required as part of the job functions.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of progressive experience in administrative support.
- Experience should be in field required for job functions
- Expertise (includes one or more of the following):

Skills in area to be able to work as proven through work experience.
- Professional approach to their work that includes very strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and to work effectively with people.
- Ability to work under stress and with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to schedule time to meet deadlines, to communicate effectively, and to read and analyze written and verbal information.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
- Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Front desk duties at the Anderson School including but not limited to: Answering phone, taking messages, processing visitors, connecting staff and students with appropriate visitors.
- Input student attendance and send out alerts for absent students
- Managing PowerSchool for adding students, scheduling classes, finalizing grades, sending out report cards and progress reports.
- Communicating with families on forms needed for attendance/emergencies
- Schedule intakes for referrals to Anderson School.
- Track Anderson referrals/services on google spreadsheet. Reach out to districts to obtain missing paperwork.
- Assist in setting up new students with their schedules, technology and forms.
- Communicate with technology and maintenance on building and student needs.
- Create requisition for all staff office supplies on-line Office Depot
- Process purchase requisitions in Pentamation.
- Process Invoices and relevant paperwork to internal network (Docuware)
- Print out internal forms from staff for Program Administrator signature.
- Assign School Age Anderson staff to students in IEP Writer.
- Schedule IEP meetings and provide relevant information to Anderson School staff and sending school districts.
- Assist in coordination of Extended School Year Services, sending notices and RSVP.
- Process information in IEP Writer which includes finalizing IEPs and sending to IEP team for electronic signature
- Input discipline records for state reporting.
- Input Act 48 activities hosted by the Anderson School
- Enter new parents/guardians into PBIS referral system
- Monitoring cameras & accessing footage when necessary for specific events
- Monitoring HALO system for vaping incidents
- Tracking all student IEP & RR due dates and scheduling meetings as necessary
- Sending weekly and/or monthly attendance to districts as requested
- Scanning of PSSA/Keystone results and sending to families & other OSS program secretaries
- All other duties as assigned

The Anderson School (930 Jefferson Ave. Eagleville, PA 19403)
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7 hours/day, 12 months (260 - 262 days/year)
Pay Rate:
$27.41/hour - $32.25/hour
