Brightwater, a high-end residential architecture & construction firm is currently seeking a Lead Design Architect to join our team of design passionate professionals.
Currently our firm is actively designing homes in the Atlanta, GA and Charleston, SC markets and include diverse design styles.
Skills/Abilities:
· Develop conceptual residential home designs
· Design in modern and traditional styles in innovative environments
· Help define the vision for new communities
· Coordinate Land Planning, Interiors, and Landscape Architecture
· Hand drawings and sketches for Schematic Design
· Aesthetic design skills from community project level to the smallest details
Revit proficiency
· Value analysis of standard products and processes
· Strong communication skills and a good listener
· Ability to work well with others in a collective environment
We are a small team of energetic, quality-oriented people in a collaborative practice- Architects, Interior Designers, Builders, and Real Estate Professionals. We are leaders in architecture, sustainability, and customer experience. The owner has a background in architecture and is integrally involved in the visioning and planning.
Duties/Tasks/Activities: You will be responsible for the following:
· Lead architecture team and manage team goals and initiatives
· Design custom homes both individually and in collaboration with others
· Create Concept Design drawings
· Review and understand site conditions in relation to concept design
· Draw specific details as required
· Provide technical guidance on product sourcing as needed
· Redline CD’s to ensure design intent
Experience/Knowledge/Education:
· A minimum of a four-year degree in architecture or similar field
· Architecture Registration in GA & SC and/or NCARB certification
· 10+ years direct experience in residential design and drafting
· Thorough understanding of residential construction techniques
· High-end custom home experience preferred
· Knowledge of relevant building codes

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
