Responsibilities – Service Technician Team Leader:
-
Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair and communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
- Dispatch work to all the team members.

Work with each team member to ensure their performance helps the team maintain their objectives.
- As directed, contribute to and facilitate the recruiting, selection, on boarding and training associates; planning/scheduling/assigning, monitoring and appraising job results and associate performance; and the coaching, counseling and disciplining of associates so as to develop and retain a qualified workforce.
- Participate in employment decisions such as hiring, discipline, and termination.

Determine the training needs of the team and inform management of those needs including the status of Technician certifications.
- Communicate to the appropriate Service Advisor information regarding any job that will not meet the Advisor’s promise time.
- Assure that flat-rate time assignments are true and accurate.
- Work with the Service Manager to develop monthly production forecasts.
- Inform management of any situation or event that would interfere with established objectives, standards, or company policy.
- Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
- Ensure shop is kept neat and clean.
- Maintain accurate records and insure warranty parts retention as outlined in policy and procedures manual.
Qualifications/Requirements - Service Technician Team Leader:
3+ years of experience as a Service Technician preferred.
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- ASE certification is preferred.

- Good Judgment.
- Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
