We are a specialized engineering firm based in Warren, Michigan focused on delivering Automated Engineering Solutions.
We are looking for a Senior Controls / Robotic Engineer with a minimum 6 years of experience after graduation. The candidate will work with our Controls department to develop PLC programs, offline robot Programs, HMI applications, Safety PLC logic and other offline solutions.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, and is skilled at organizing detailed information. The highly knowledgeable individual will be a solid technical reference to other team members.

Key Tasks:
- Configure out-of-box robots and program them on our shop floor for initial commissioning
- Follow equipment to customer sites for final commissioning
- Develop and maintain robot codebase for various brands, including PLC/Robot IO mappings
- Configure and debug other related devices, such as valve manifolds, safety controllers, automated dispensing units
- Develop PLC programs based on electrical prints, sequence of operation documents and simulations
- Maintain and follow our controls standards, templates and programming libraries.
Required skills and Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of industry experience as a Controls Engineer, preferably in manufacturing sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or degree in related field.
- Strong experience in working with KUKA WorkVisual, ABB RobotStudio, and FANUC ROBOGUIDE
- Strong experience with Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Factory Talk Studio Software Suite in developing PLC and HMI solutions.
- Strong robot programming skills in offline development, local device communication setup for KUKA, ABB, and FANUC.
- Experience commissioning machines, including I/O Checkout, Ethernet/IP device setup, and machine safety testing.
- Experience and knowledge of machine safety design and requirements, including robot safeties, operator safeties, experience with programming various safety PLCs, and area scanners.
- Ability to read and markup electrical prints.
- Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with other robot software, such as Yaskawa MotoSim and Nachi FD On Desk.
- Programming experience with Omron Sysmac Studio.
- Programming experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal / WinCC.
- Experienced in motion control configuration, such as servomotor and VFD setup.
- Experienced working in a manufacturing facility.
