Globetrotters provides architecture, engineering, construction management, permit plan reviews, facility and property management, consulting, and IT services. We are seeking a highly talented and engaged mid-level MECHANICAL ENGINEER to join our team.
In this role, you will:
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to help design HVAC systems using AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks or other industry-specific software.
- Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
- Prepare engineering-related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
- Perform site surveys and prepare drawings showing existing conditions.
- Work under the guidance of a project manager and/or senior engineer
- Edit/write specifications
- Make technical decisions based on building code interpretation as well as client, and industry standard practices
- Work within a project team environment and coordinate work with other project disciplines
- Deliver complete, accurate, and coordinated project design assignments within time and budget parameters
- Work independently, but also in a team environment
- Effectively communicate design options to a diverse group
We are looking for someone who has:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Over 5 years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of mechanical codes and industry standard, including ASHRAE standard
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- P.E. license, preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
