Position Summary
Conducts, as directed, test and data collection activities of industrial / utility vehicles, related equipment, and component systems. Fabricates prototype components and test fixtures for lab and field testing. Performs installation and repairs of test equipment and components when necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- R&D Testing point of view- Testing how software behaves or is supposed to work
- How the computer works towards the devices
- Doesn’t need to write the software, just needs to test it.
- Learn on the spot how to do Ticket Systems (Guru)
- Testing a software created in house- Specific to an improvement or bug fix.
- The Test Group technician performs the following tasks on an as-needed basis
- Conduct ongoing testing of companies Products, Firmware, and SmarTrac
- Conduct release testing for new Firmware releases and new SmarTrac releases
- Test individual bug fixes and new features and functions
- POS Testing
- Conduct functional and certification type testing on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance and best of class performance of company’s
- Reports to Test Group Supervisor
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
- Knowledge of electrical engineering practices and principles.
- Experience in testing processes, equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscope, and fatigue analysis equipment and test techniques related to vehicular electrical systems.
- Detailed working knowledge of SmarTrac and company s product functionality.
- High School diploma with some college
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Good communications skills both orally and in
- Good organizational
DESIRED SKILLS
- Familiarity with lab test equipment including Oscilloscopes and Digital Multimeters.
- Basic soldering
- Some completed college courses in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

- Ability to troubleshoot using common sense approaches and determine root cause using the process of
- Ability to work closely with different to establish test criteria and validate pass/failure
