Nimel Mental Health a growing Outpatient mental health clinic in Westminster MD, is seeking an office receptionist/medical assistant to work collaboratively with the clinical and executive staff at our outpatient practice. Duties include:
- Promoting client engagement through answering phone calls and emails
- Sharing information about clinical services offered
- Scheduling and re-scheduling appointments, filing, checking patients in and out using our EHR system
- Insurance verification, collecting copayment, scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations.
- Manage EHR System and implement additional systems as necessary in conjunction with our executive director.
- Reviewing and management of client records in EHR system to ensure quality and optimal input.
- Reviewing billing and ensuring all billable hours are recorded (i.e. missed, cancelled appointments) with billing personnel.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Experience working at a medical office is required.
- Punctual, dependable and professional
- Knowledge of billing and coding.
- Bilingual language (Spanish speaking) is a plus, not a requirement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service
- Previous front reception administrative experience in medical office
- Professionalism with track record of delivering exceptional patient care service
- Experience working in HIPAA-compliant health care delivery systems
- Experience working with Electronic Health Records systems
- Excellent management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
