Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, outstanding business acumen, and a passion for hospitality. As the Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitability, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and service.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management: Provide visionary leadership to the management team and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability.
- Financial Management: Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, control costs, and achieve budgetary goals. Monitor financial performance, analyze key performance indicators, and take proactive measures to optimize profitability.
- Guest Experience: Ensure that guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience. Proactively engage with guests, address any concerns or feedback, and uphold our reputation for excellence. Also responsible for all responding to reviews on all reviewable sites.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all operational aspects of the restaurant, including but not limited to staffing, scheduling, inventory management, purchasing, and vendor relationships. Implement efficient processes and systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies.
- Staff Training and Development: Implement comprehensive training programs to develop staff skills, enhance product knowledge, and promote professional growth. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to support employee performance and development.
- Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with ownership to develop and execute marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, and special events to drive customer traffic and increase brand awareness.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community, businesses, and organizations. Represent the restaurant at community events, fundraisers, and industry functions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements, including food safety standards, liquor laws, and labor regulations.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve long-term growth and expansion objectives. Identify opportunities for business development, market expansion, and revenue diversification.
- Maximize Reservations: Develop and execute strategic plans to grow and maintain reservations including controlling large party inquiries and bookings.
- Physical Plant: Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the entire building including equipment, furniture, fixtures, and art.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the hospitality industry, with a track record of success in restaurant management.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- “Leader of the Pack” high energy individual brining life to the staff and service day to day.
- Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-centric mindset.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software, MS Office Suite, and POS systems.
- Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in restaurant management.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Will ensure the property is prepared for the daily operations.
