Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the clinical operations and ensuring the highest level of patient care. This is a position that requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with both patients and team members.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the clinical team
- Oversee the daily clinical operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to protocols
- Assist orthodontists during procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring patient comfort
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and coordination of treatment plans
- Perform dental coding and documentation accurately and efficiently
- Utilize CAD/CAM systems for orthodontic treatment planning
- Take and process X-rays as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using Eaglesoft or similar software
- Collaborate with other departments, such as billing and administration, to ensure smooth operations
- Train new team members on clinical procedures and protocols
Skills:
- 4 years minimum experience
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in dental software Eaglesoft
- Excellent understanding of dental codes and documentation requirements
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems for treatment planning
- Ability to perform X-rays and maintain proper safety protocols
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy
