Individual Partners (IP) support residents of Harmony Housing Inc. who experience developmental or intellectual disabilities. Your role as an IP is to engage, connect, and enhance the lives of individuals you support. Your relationship with HHI residents is fundamental to providing meaningful and quality care. IPs collaborate with HHI residents to be a true partner and someone they can rely on. Bringing your authentic self, life experiences, and fun personality will be what makes a difference in the lives of those you support.
Essential Functions:
- Assists Residents with Activities of Daily Living.
- Partners with Residents of Harmony to Support an Active Lifestyle.
- Provides a Safe Residential Environment.
- Attends Employee Training and Meetings.
- Actively Partakes in Teamwork.
Position Requirements
- Providing personal care to clients such as showering, assisting clients with hygiene procedures following bowel movements and urination, brushing teeth, menses, administering medical treatments (such as suppositories, g-tubes), and other intrusive support service assignments, during which time staff must respect client's rights to privacy and staff must maintain professional demeanor.
- Be an advocate for residents of Harmony in our homes and in the larger community. This means adhering to the OARs and HHI policies with the integrity of ethical values and morals. Employees are mandatory abuse reporters. Demonstrating appropriate handling of resident’s personal belongings and communicating professionally with guardians.
- Support services include all or limited aspects of daily life, such as: personal care, chore duties, cooking, housekeeping activities, medication administration, behavior supports, transportation, health, safety, productivity, community access, and participation in recreational/leisure activities
- Assist residents in complete activities of daily living following standards of HHI policy and OAR expectations. Complete chores during a given shift such as laundry, dishes, and cleaning resident’s rooms. Special cleaning assignments are provided weekly. Keep documentation of home inventory, request food ingredients for meals, and report any maintenance concerns.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings. Meetings are scheduled work hours. Employees need to adhere to the RTO policy to be excused from disciplinary action. Employees must attend one training meeting per month.
- Be a safe driver. Employees must follow Oregon transportation laws and regulations and must have a relatively clean driving record. Following all HHI policy and OARs regarding transportation of residents. Report vehicle maintenance request.
- Actively participate in teamwork. Working closely, physically and emotionally, with clients coworkers. Teams actively communicate weekly and during each shift. Must be able to accurately reflect on occurrences during shift in multiple formats: GERs, IRs, T-Logs, SCOMM, and written chartings. Teammates can swap shifts, following our PTO policy. Employees are respectful of each other.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma.
- Literate in the English language and proficient enough to understand written and oral directions and can communicate with others verbally and in writing.
- Able to successfully complete mandatory training and core competencies within given timeframe.
- Be able to pass a DHS background check.
- Must qualify for HHI provided vehicle insurance, for day and swing shifts only. Requires DMV history.
- COVID vaccination required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
