NECA is seeking a detail-oriented and self-starting individual to temporarily join our collaborative team for a 4–6-month assignment starting in mid-June or July 2024. The individual must execute results-driven social media strategies and develop and curate engaging content for NECA social media platforms. Assisting in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content is required. Attending the NECA Convention & Trade Show (NECA 2024 San Diego), September 28 – October 1, 2024, producing live social media coverage and content is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executes a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance the association’s online presence and reach.
- Creates engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts, that aligns with the association’s goals and resonates with our target audience.
- Designs posts through Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new initiatives.
- Engages with followers, responds to comments and messages, and fosters meaningful interactions within our online community.
- Collaborates with the Manager, Marketing to ensure alignment between social media efforts and overall association objectives.
- Tracks and analyzes social media metrics and performance to measure the effectiveness of various industry campaigns and inform future strategies.
- Assists the Manager, Marketing as needed with email marketing campaigns and marketing strategy for industry campaigns.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field.
- 2 years of working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry.
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
- Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools.
- Working knowledge of ad serving tools.
- Ability to meet deadlines while demonstrating professionalism under pressure.
- Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
- Ability to take direction and provide edits in a timely manner to produce accurate work.
- Experience with marketing automation systems and content management systems such as HubSpot and/or Monday.com.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail and the desire to learn.
- Flexible team player with the ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
NECA CONVENTION & TRADE SHOW RESPONSIBILITIES
- Available to travel to San Diego, CA on September 26 – October 2, 2024.
- Coordinate and craft all contractually obligated partner social media posts.
- Coordinate, produce, edit, and schedule paid exhibitor social media posts.
- Conduct on-site interviews of exhibitors, attendees, and apprentices.
- Capture general session shots, award shots.
- Create and post daily recap reels on NECA socials.
- Produce live coverage of various receptions, trade show floor, and education sessions.
- Create and schedule various pre and post-conference social media graphics and assets.
- Create and distribute NECA-branded exhibitor, speaker, and national staff graphics.
