Position Summary
The Meter Installation Technician will complete residential, commercial, and industrial water meter sets and mass meter change initiatives. The Meter Installation Technician is responsible for contacting customers and ensuring minimal impact during a replacement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Install new water meters for residential, commercial, and industrial development
- Replace existing meters due to age or efficiency as part of the Mass Meter Change-Out
- Collect GPS coordinates to ensure accurate mapping
- Complete orders electronically through MCare software

- Maintain strict confidentiality of business, employee and customer information in written and oral communications and safeguard sensitive documents

Formal Education and Work Experience Requirements
Degree/Diploma Obtained: High School Diploma/GED
Work Experience Time Frame: One Year or More
Field of Study: General Studies
Certification and Licensures Requirements
- A valid Texas Driver’s License is required to operate a company vehicle.
