The Rochester Cafe is seeking to add a line cook to our BOH staff. We would like someone who could become involved in our part time pizza operations as well. Standard Line Cook responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Ensure proper knife handling and food preparation techniques are followed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with catering events as needed
- Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced food service environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
- Ability to work in a team environment or alternatively work the line on your own, and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
