Oahu Pet Crematory (OPC) is seeking a responsible, hardworking individual for a Pet Cremation Operator. Our company is the largest pet crematory on the island of Oahu with a long-standing relationship with veterinarians, shelters, and the public. This individual will be primarily responsible for performing most of the pet cremations and maintaining the cremation units.
While cremating pets is an unconventional job, it offers opportunities for individuals interested in learning a new trade. This position offers a healthy life/work balance with a flexible schedule for those that enjoy working independently, but still part of a close-knit team. If you enjoy helping others and have a can-do attitude, we can provide paid on the job training in the growing industry of pet cremation. Oahu Pet Crematory is privately owned and has been successfully providing closure to pet families in need for over 30 years.
Knowledge, skill, and experience for this position
- No experience necessary. All aspects of this position can be trained.
- Willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
- Conscientiousness and attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to complete logs and follow protocols.
Essential job duties include but are not limited to:
- Must be punctual on attendance and work efficiently throughout their shift.
- Must be willing to perform manual labor in an industrial setting.
- Willing and able to handle deceased pets and their remains.
- Driving routes to specific veterinary hospitals or shelters to pick up and drop off pet remains.
- Must have valid Driver's License
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- COVID-19 vaccination is mandated and proof is required.
The business operates Monday-Saturday and scheduled shifts vary from 7 am to 7 pm depending on the workload. This particular position is Monday through Friday with flexible start and ending times.
