CCA Senior Clinical Care Team (CCT) Specialist - Job Description
Job Summary
Complex Care Team (CCT) Counselors work remotely, but occasionally might be required to meet at CCA's Midtown NYC office. Their main function is to provide high touch clinical support and consultation for high acuity referrals, such as, Risk Assessments (RA), Critical Incident Response (CIR), Complex Consultations, Case Management, DOT/SAP referrals, and Fit for Duty (FFD), to CCA’s primary stake holders and members. *Different from the Specialist 1 position, this role will have a more focalized workload of Formal Referrals and DOT/SAP referrals across CCA Business of Business (BoB). Serve as external consultant to clients on a host of organizational topics including employee relations, crisis response, behavioral health, risk management, leadership development and retention.
The position is part of the Clinical Department at CCA, reporting to the CCT Director.
Counseling Responsibilities include:
- Engage and conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial clinical assessments with clients on the telephone, live chat and virtual platforms.
- Providing telephonic high risk and crisis assessment and intervention services related to harm to self or others and any form of symptoms contributing to mental health decompensation.
- Providing virtual/telephonic short-term, solution focused counseling to individuals.
- Providing comprehensive case management and referrals to specialized services such as substance abuse treatment, psychiatry, and on-going psychotherapy.
- Providing consultation to Human Resources and organizational managers about employee workplace performance issues and behavioral concerns.
- High degree of business acumen; ability to quickly and accurately assess clients’ needs and develop/deliver innovative solutions.
- Consult with Human Resources and organizational liaisons about employee workplace performance issues and behavioral concerns.
- Consult with liaisons on workplace issues and behavioral concerns including crisis management to determine best practices and interventions to mitigate impact on workforce and liability issues.
- Oversee administrative referrals made to CCA including formal, DOT SAP, FFD and safety sensitive referrals, providing feedback and ongoing recommendations.
- Execute and overall oversee CISD coordination, tracking, scheduling, follow up and documentation.
- Communicate, coordinate and collaborate closely with all CCA departments/teams.
- Provide manager consult coverage support when Account Executives are not available.
- Participate in high-level consultation conference calls and partner with stakeholders and teammates on action planning as needed.
Job Requirements:
· Must have an active and in good standing license to practice clinical counseling. Acceptable Licenses are as follows: LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist. Limited permits and/or other certifications without an active clinical license will not be considered.
· Professional mental health and/or substance abuse experience.
· EAP experience preferred.
· Effective communication on the phone, on virtual platforms, in person, and in writing.
· Ability to present to groups effectively.
· Where required, ability to perform the above responsibilities on a virtual platform.
