Industrial Janitor*
In this position, you will ensure the buildings are tidy, clean, and well-maintained. You will ensure equipment and workstations are maintained and organized to ensure a safe, effective, and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Maintaining equipment cleanliness
- Cleaning facility walls and plexiglass
- Operates floor scrubber.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies
- Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- May assist or perform snow removal activities, spring outdoor clean up (raking, sweeping, weeding), and other seasonal maintenance.
- May assist with minor maintenance activities, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, etc.
- May assist in general janitorial functions, such as vacuuming, maintaining restroom and break facilities, floor cleaning, and removing waste and recycling.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to understand verbal instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
- Ability to operate power sweeper and other related equipment.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
Work Environment:
Climate-controlled manufacturing facility with a moderate noise level. In this position, you are working a full-time schedule in a manufacturing setting.
