As a Virtual School Psychologistyou will play a pivotal role in providing essential psychological services to students enrolled in virtual schools across Missouri. From your remote home office, you will collaborate with educators, families, and students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges and foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct virtual individual and group counseling sessions to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development, utilizing teletherapy platforms to facilitate meaningful therapeutic interactions.
Administer virtual assessments and evaluations to assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning, utilizing standardized tools and measures to inform intervention planning and support academic success.
Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to students in distress, collaborating with school personnel and community resources to ensure the safety and well-being of students in virtual settings.
Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in virtual service delivery, teletherapy best practices, and evidence-based interventions in school psychology.
Qualifications:
Valid licensure as a School Psychologist in Missouri, with a minimum of 2years of experience in the field(preferred).
Experience or willingness to learn and adapt to teletherapy platforms and technology for remote service delivery, including proficiency in video conferencing and virtual assessment tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage students, parents, educators, and other stakeholders in virtual settings.
Genuine empathy, patience, and a client-centered approach to therapy, fostering trust, rapport, and empowerment in virtual interactions with students and families.
