Job Title: AYSO United Director of Growth and Development
Location: Remote, with extensive travel required
Job Summary:
AYSO United is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Growth and Development to spearhead the expansion of our youth soccer program into new communities. This role involves community activation, club setup, team formation, and the recruitment of local directors and coaching staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in youth soccer, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. A master’s degree is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Expansion and Community Activation:
- Identify and research potential target areas for the AYSO United program.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to activate and establish new soccer communities.
- Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, including schools, community centers, and soccer clubs.
2. Club Setup and Team Formation:
- Oversee the setup of new AYSO United clubs, ensuring alignment with AYSO’s core mission and values.
- Facilitate the formation of teams, including player registration and placement processes.
- Ensure all clubs and teams meet AYSO’s standards for quality and safety.
3. Recruitment and Staff Management:
- Hire and onboard local directors and coaching staff to manage new programs.
- Provide ongoing support and training to ensure staff are well-equipped to deliver a world-class youth soccer experience.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and development opportunities.
4. Strategic Planning and Research:
- Conduct thorough research to identify sustainable growth opportunities for AYSO United.
- Analyze demographic and market data to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and present reports on growth progress and future plans to senior management.
5. Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain open and effective communication with all team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure cohesive program development and execution.
- Represent AYSO United at events, conferences, and meetings to promote the program and build partnerships.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Proven background in youth soccer, with a deep understanding of club and team dynamics.
- Demonstrated experience in community outreach and program development.
- Previous leadership experience, particularly in recruiting and managing staff.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills.
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required by the role.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
