Job Summary:
Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen processing, waived testing, order processing and review, and document processing. Work is conducted in accordance with all regulatory accreditation agency requirements. Candidate needs to be able to process all specimen types and sources that will be analyzed by the laboratory including blood, urine, cultures and other body fluids.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Phlebotomy procedures including venous and capillary punctures, and urine collections for medical and legal testing procedures.
- Computer inquiry and entry to maintain patient demographics as well as test ordering details in multiple software systems in accordance with compliance guidelines.
- Processing and preparing samples for testing on site.
- Processing, preparing, and packaging samples for delivery to reference labs.
- Performing CLIA waived testing: Urine dipstick, rapid HCV/HIV, ESR, BNP, Urine HCG and other waived testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Phlebotomy Certification required.
- 1-2 years in a clinic setting is preferred.
- Candidate must be able to draw patients of all ages.
- Candidate must be detail oriented, organized and punctual, and must comply with all federal and state regulations and local policies pertaining to clinical laboratory and safety.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
