LifeWorks Wellness Center is looking for a detail oriented individual to work as a Patient Scheduler, on our Scheduling team.
LifeWorks Wellness Center is the largest integrated practice in the US, as well as Florida’s top natural health clinic. We are proud to provide patients with alternative medical doctors that treat a wide range of chronic health conditions, naturally. People travel from all over the world to see our doctors and receive our lifesaving holistic treatment programs.
The right person for this position would be someone that loves working with patients and organizing their schedules. We are a large office offering multiple treatments, many of which are done back-to-back each day or several times a week. The Patient Scheduler must be able to learn the different treatments to understand how to best organize the patient's schedule so that they are able to make it to each appointment on time and receive the full benefits of their treatment program.
Job Duties:
· Scheduling the patient for their treatment program as laid out in their patient chart
· Keeping accurate notes in the patient's chart
· Answering phone and/or email questions
· Following up to ensure that the patient does get all their needed appointments scheduled so that they can progress through their program.
Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or GED.
· Minimum of 2-years of experience in the medical field.
· Understanding of medical terminology and administration processes.
· Proficient in MS Office
· Must be dependable, organized and systematic with an excellent ability to multi-task.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Minimum typing speed of 40wpm
Language Skills:
Must speak and write clearly in English. Must be able to converse in a clear and pleasant manner with patients in person, over the phone and by email.
Physical Demands:
The majority of the job is spent sitting at a desk using a computer and phone.
Hours:
This is a full-time hourly position with a 37.5 hour work week in the office, Monday-Friday.
